I recently nstalled some RT shocks on my 2008 RS. My wife ( who gets her helmet as soon as she hears me crank up ) tells me the rear seat is not as comfortable as it was before the RT shocks. She is small and says it sits up higher and he feels like she slides forward more on the seat. Any comments or suggestions would be appriciated by me and my SPYDER RIDING wife.:dontknow:

It's funny that you say that because Holly said, since I put the RT shocks on that her ride on the back is way harder now. She says it's like there is to much air in the tire now. :dontknow:

Just guessing here; perhaps the stiffer springs in those RT boingers are just transferring too much back into the chassis and your passenger is feeling it. Can you lower the preload to see if that helps?

I'd replace the RT shocks with a brand new RT Spyder... ultimate comfort for the rider.....nojoke

Good suggestion Firefly. Same for me--but it took buying a new RT for akspyderlady to make her comfortable.

You might try raising the passenger foot pegs a bit higher so she can get a better foot grip.

Ride in comfort,

Randy,

I've had the 2011 RT shocks on for over a year with them set at 3. I felt the ride was a little rough but the gf said no and she only weighs in at around 105 lbs.

ouch

But buy a 2012 Sypder for HER! That should solve the rider discomfort issues.

Be careful Randy; She's a nurse and has access to stuff that'll make you bark like a dog!

I have my rear shock all the way up so I don't rip my licence plate off so this might be the difference here. :dontknow:

Sometimes to look good you must sacrifice comfort (RT vs RS joke). I tell Holly this all the time when I see her laying on the bed trying to squeeze into a size 6 jeans................. :roflblack::yikes::yikes::yikes::lecturef_smilie: :joke:

All the suggestions I will try. I truely like the idea of putting a new RT in the garage, but probably wind up on it myself and she would have the rs then. I probably coundn't talk my way into that, she' pretty smart.:doorag:
