I lurked for a while, then joined a few days ago. Recently, my wife and I gave up the last two of several two wheelers and bought an RS-SE to share. It took a little getting used to, but we now enjoy it very much. We have ridden for many years with a Virago club and more recently with sport touring types. That will probably continue. We have toured extensively in California and not so extensively in other western states.

We thought at first that our RS rides would be mostly local. Now I’m not so sure. Having gained some confidence on the Spyder, I’m feeling the need to revisit some of our favorites in northern California and Oregon. For starters we signed up for Spyders in the Redwoods.

Spyderlovers appears to be an excellent board. I hope I will be able contribute in some small way. I’m a pretty good hand with California roads, not much of a wrench or farkelizer.

Once the spyder bites you'll be hooked. Our daughter and her boyfriend are in Granada Hills. Febail has a 2008 RS/GS. We spend the winter near Palm Springs so we try to ride together then. Bert's Megamall has some organized :spyder2: Rides during the year. Get on their email list and enjoy the fun.

Hiya Dave!
As another ex-Yamarider; I'm glad to see that you made it!
How many miles have you logged so far? It does take a while to get things sorted out, but these bikes do feel great under you once you get your "Sea Legs"...
Not much of a farkler; THAT will surely pass! :roflblack:
