Anybody knows why they change the part# at BRP? They only have part 2012 part # lisited. This part # on ebay does not match that #. So I guess that this part# is the old # for 2010?
Anyway I got one. Since mine has a hole in it. Has had the hole since Dec. Don't recon it is hurt too bad since it made it from Louisiana to CA. I got the new one coming out here to CA. Don't know if I will have it put on before I leave to go back or not.

Looks like a great deal. Will it fit on a 2013 1200 cc RT ?? :roflblack:

I believe the part number has changed on newer belts that have an additional coating on the inside to help make them run quieter. I heard that the 2012s come with these newer belts.

Duh ! I just checked to see where I heard this and it was on this fourm.

Some research will be needed just to check and confirm that part number is for 2011 and prior drive belts...
But it DOES seem like it's worth another look....
Thanks!

The price is great--but beware about the part number and whether or not it will fit your specific :spyder2:. Sounds like a close out special to me.

The belt listed on EBay is not the same P/N as shown on the BRP 2012 parts list as item 47 of the "Drive System Rear" section. Those would be the new coated belts. The Ebay belts are the old part # but even so still a good deal

705501154 is the old belt number This is what is available from Ebay

Dar, I'd just keep an eye on it, I had a HD Road King that had a hole in the belt after 3K miles, the hole was exactly the same (and the belt was fine) when I sold the bike with 38K. If the hole hasn't run, and you have a decent amount intact on either side of the hole it should be fine.
