I nstalled the HID light."Not from this manufacturer. It was a xenon light The RT is easy to do since you have plenty of room to place the ballast and transformer. I'm not sure what they are talking about with a relay. Most HID's come with a builtin startup in the transformer. Any HID that has both components will work IMHO. I used ones for a car. On all 3 bikes.. 2011RT 99EG..93EG..Bought 2 sets of lights for $185.00.

The relay is probably what the folks insisted on for the system I installed on my BMW LT. It simply protects the factory wiring harness and draws the power directly from the battery but the relate attaches to the headlight wire to trip the ballast.
