Im afraid to do an alignment, I understand that I may have to remove the VTC floorboards, not something I am looking forward to.

I had Cowtown check mine yesterday before we all rode down to Lake of the Ozarks for our annual 'play' day after SpyderFest. They use a similar setup. It consists of steel bars and a laser level, as well. My alignment was spot on, but apparently there's a calibration that has to be performed on the power assist steering that fixed my issue. My RTS started pulling a little to the left. The calibration has it running perfect now.

Do you know if that shop made made those tool themselves ? Where are they located ? Dealers I have spoken to seem seem to be fairly clueless about alignment.

The guys at Cowtown fashioned their own. Double check to make sure that it's your alignment and not something to do with the power assist.
