I just bought a 1012 rt limited. I'm loving it except I'm in the break in period and shifting at 3500 rpm. It seems to need more power in lower gears. Any suggestions on what to do after the break in period is up to get more out of 1st. thru 3rd gear I want more low end but dont want to give up dependability. Also, any suggestions on highway pegs. I'm 6 ft and really need to strech out

:welcome::congrats: on your new :spyder2:. Start shifting at 5500. Rotex is a high RPM motor, the:spyder2: will thank-you for it .

I wouldn't be too concerned about shifting at 3500 rpm, take her up to 5K or better and that's where she likes to run. :doorag:

It seems Lamont is too modest to toot his own horn, but he has designed/sells some great highway pegs from what I've gathered & seen from other Spyder Ryders, so here's the link for his thread for the NBV (No Bad Vibrations) pegs. As soon as I can get the $$ for them, I'll be ordering a set for Teds Red Sled:yes: myself

:congrats: on your new pride and joy!
Low end power?? These critters ain't "Hawgs"... They LOVE to rev so don't be shy about giving the loud grip a good twist! :2thumbs:

Bring the RPM's up a little, 4500 TO 5500 And you'll see your low end lack of power go away.

The rev limiter will kick in at 9250 so you won't damage the engine. So twist the loud grip and go!!
