Has anyone used this oil in their CanAm Spyders ? I have used it before and thought it performed well. Any comments would be welcomed. I am concerned about the high heat down here in Fla. Yesterdays outside temp. on the dash were at 98 to 101 F and the temperature gauge and the radiator fan kicking in almost instantly at slow downs or stops are making me think a thicker oil might be better.:bdh:

With a multi-viscosity oil, like 5W-40 or 10W-40, both oils would have the same viscosity at high temperatures. Only at low temperatures would they differ. To get a "thicker" oil at high temps, you would have to move up to 20W-50, which is not recommended for a Spyder.

I have used Royal Purple in my 08 and 2010 Spyders. I put it in the first time the oil needs changing . It is the only oil I sell in my store. I personally think it is the best oil on the market.
We use Royal Purple automotive in our cars, truck, riding lawnmower, power washers, etc. etc.
We live in Kansas and it gets really hot here in the summer.
At the 600 mile oil change, I asked my dealer if it would void my warranty to change to Royal Purple he said, "Hell no, it's the best oil made".
This will probably open up a can of worms about oil but, that's my opinion based on my experience.
