Not sure if this has been asked before - Did a search and didn't find a Thread
Sorry if there has already been one

We hear alot about some issues BRP has had with the Spyders

Many have been overcome and riders have kept the faith

As as general matter of interest - Who can claim the highest mileage on their Spyder(s) so far

Not sure the format or questions it would be best to ask

Maybe :-

Perhaps - Model, Year, Total mileage to this date. Is this on one Spyder or if you have changed to a newer model & the combined Mileage
(Listing the Models and Mileage of each)

Its just to get an idear just how they perform over a long period esp with the Rotax engine
at least with the data - Riders can compare against previous motorcycle they have ridden

With one at almost 90K and the other less than half that. Cant help but ask why you replaced the engines. I hope this isn't the norm?

Nothing Doc does has anything to do with 'The Norm'. I wouldn't worry about it unless you let Doc borrow your Spyder! :yikes:

I don't have any "high mileage" spyders. My 2008 had 23,500 when traded off and is still running 2 years later. The 2010 RTS has 22,000 and counting. No awards for high mileage here yet. No major mechanical issues to speak of either.

I updated the spreadsheet for total spyder miles--including those ridden on the third spyder I owned.

2008 RS #610 had 45,000 when I sold it.
2008 Rs #104 just turned 6,000. But iHav only had it al couple of months

There is a spreadsheet with the Spyderlovers Total Mileage. It does not have model or year but give you an idea of the riders with the most miles.

Cant help but ask why you replaced the engines.
Feel free to be skeptical and/or ask me questions. I try to be very open and frank about my Spyder engine(s):

Here's a link to the spreadsheet. Been awhile since I checked it out or updated it.

I believe Walt from Florida still has he most total miles...... Around 190,000 between 3 spyders. First one burnt to ground. Then a second RS and also an RT.

Just updated mine to 50,500.

Oh....and doc does 'special' things to his engines...... So don't worry.....

65,772 miles, if we didn't have to deal with snow at least 4 months of the year......probably would be closer to 90,000. Sure do envy people in southern states and south western states!!:2thumbs:

I have a little over 73k for miles on the death machine so besides forest I have the most miles for the handicrapp crew as far as I know. And that is living in northern MN 9there is a 10 degree difference from dirt town to the twin cities.), with snow from sometimes sept to may. Get a snow tire if you want to ride in the white stuff.

Gotta say Bob, I have NO IDEA who that character is. Perhaps it's my age, or the fact that I don't have kids and, don't do those kinds of movies (or hardly any movies any more - that industry has become content and quality deprived over the years - JMO). So my exposure to such things is limited at best.

That said, thanks for cluing me in. :) Really!! :roflblack:

I just posted my milage in Lamont's thread. But anyway I have approximately 47,500 miles on my RT. I bought it in March of 2010.
