Member status change???

Hey I've been a SpyderLover member since 3/26/11 and my STATUS never changes!!!...Just a Member... I've seen "NEWBIES" already placed at Junior Member :gaah:status!! WHAT GIVES!!! :shocked: Come on L.A. I don't want to be a rookie any more..Put me in Coach!!!! :firstplace:

The forum software assigns 99% of names. Additional names can be assigned to specific members that warrant some such insanity. However, the majority of status / names are assigned based solely on number of posts, and not time logged. A more robust system for the software would include date joined / current date comparison. Number of posts, and possibly amount of "active" time logged into the site.

These would require differenting sets of titles though... An interesting idea.

It would be interesting to know how many forums there are on the internet ..... must be in the hundreds of thousands if not millions, and that would most likely just cover medical forums.

You don't have to post to participate, but we sure would welcome your input. All SpyderLovers are welcome, whether they post openly or lurk in the background. It's nice to hear from everyone from time to time, however. We'd be glad to hear how your Spyders are treating you, a nice day of riding you had, or anything else you wished to offer. We try to answer questions, too. The more active participants we have, the better the forum and the closer our friendships. Here's to losing your rookie status real soon.

Is that the worse you have been called? I think "member" is probably one of the nicest thing I have ever been called. ;)

The long hair is gone, the ponytail is gone, the goatee remains albeit much greyer...and of course the ink remains....although dress shirts cover it all these days...but on the best of days I'm still called or referred to as much worse than "member"... ;)
