I am debating on where to have the antenna installed that comes with the Zumo 665, I want it mounted where it will get good reception. Any suggestions ? I also see on the unit itself that there is input on the left side that says GPS. Is there other antenna's that can be used for XM Weather/Traffic? Other than the antenna that comes with the Zumo 665.

445674456844567I know that doesn't help you with placement on an RS, but this locaton does work very well on an RT. The screen shot I posted shows just like you said, under the cap on the side, is for an external antanae, but we've never used it, sorry but no clue why. Think you'll like your new Zumo, we love ours & most of all, love getting lost with it, have found so many great twisties and fun roads to explore:thumbup:

The jack on the side is for a GPS attena. The xm ant does the traffic and all that. Though us poor candians cant get the fancy weather features and few other things yet. Droping mine off today to get the dealer to put it all together. They offered i accepted :).

How can you say poor Canadians when we pay 3-5 grand more for our Spyders plus HST 13% tax. :roflblack: :roflblack:

I put the BRP XM on my bike signed up for sevice and with-in a month cancelled. I moved the antenna twice and still kept dropping the signal. I would get a good signal going one way on a road ,turn around on the same road traveling in opposite directions and loose the signal .:dontknow: So now i just use my Ipod .
