Hi again. I will be the new owner of a aerocharger system for my manual 2010 RS next week . Last friday as I was thinking how awesome will it be, my clutch died. I mean DEAD, it sound like grinding the whole thing. Tomorrow I will take ths spyder the dealer. My question is , it's there anything I can do to make the clutch stronger, now it will need to handle the extra power. Somebody told me that I can use the Aprilia clutch. Any help will be apreciated. Thanks

I think docdoru posted something about this. I'll see if I can locate, unless doc chimes in.

Check post #152 here:

Post #81 is where he used Aprillia; but, then it looks like he ended up with the one in post #152.

You might want to PM docdoru, if he doesn't chime in here.

Barnett clutch from Ducati Sport 1000S kit # 306-25-10003 (http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/ducati_clutch_kits.aspx). This is for SM5 only, I have no experience with SE5.
Or you can continue with the "Walmart" OEM clutch. nojoke

Aprilia RSV Mille was made from 1998-2000 with updates to 2003. Engine: 998 cc 60 degree V-twin built by the Austrian company Rotax. Sound familiar?

Just a thought, Check your Front sprocket and shaft. When mine gave up the ghost it made the same sounds, and i thought it was the clutch at first!

Aprillia #303-10-20002
Ducati #306-25-10003 barnett clutch kits

And what's the difference between these 2? What was the reason for the switch to the ducati?

Hi Doc. I called Barnett clutches to order the part and was informed that they are making a hi-performance clutch kit for the spyder sm5 with kevlar instead of ducati's carbon fiber and stiffer springs. Guess what i am ordering?
