Seems like there is a pin with a clip that goes around the rod and holds the pin in place. If I recall mine correctly, or maybe I read this on a SpyderPops installation sheet for a heat shield for my RT, there is or Harvey recommended a zip-tie be placed on that clip to keep it from popping off the rod.

This would be my guess as the subject of the recall.

Thanks for the notice.

 I guess that I'll be standing on my head under the :spyder2: trying to figure out what it is that they're talking about...
Thanks for the post!

Looks like just the 2010 rt's. Doesnt specify RTS, AC or anything else.

Do the dealers know about this yet and should all 2010 RT owners be concerned before we ryde to Cuba next week?

I have a 2010 RT .. if that all is true - I hope that its time to change someone / something by BRP

do they really let me ryde with my wife on the back - if they know that there is a "possibility" that my brakes fall-out :opps:

lamont ????????

Not that I can say that it will or will not happen, but myself and my wife (amongst the other 2010 RT owners out there) went to Spyderfest last year! And I am going again on the same machine!

As are my wife and me. I just wanted to try to find out if this is an issue we should be concerned about. Is it an issue that gets worse with more miles or more time? Just want to be safe is all.
