I know this is one of the most requested products for the RT and they have a version for the RS too. If you do any long distance traveling at all you'll know how important it is to stay hydrated. :doorag:

I didn't see any pictures of it mounted on the RT. Does anybody have a picture? I like the one that also has the mount for a phone or GPS.

The Butler Mug Holder is awesome and is custom made for both the RT and the RS and it looks OEM/ Factory and not obtrusive in anyway. We went on a ride this past saturday and some put cold water in their thermal mug and others had coffee, after 4 hours of riding it kept the cold and the hot coffee, Incredible! Each kit has an option for an extension rod for attaching a GPS, iPhone or other as well as a camera. We have the 6 inch on our RT and it fits perfectly just above the dash right through the windshield. Video was great. We just love that Butler now has this for the Spyder...they custom made this for us...we love it and can't say enough about it. go to http://www.GlassAct.com then click on Can Am Spyder from the menu to the left. :2thumbs:

I have been trying to come up with something... I like it. Now I don't have to tell my wife to "hold my beer and watch this"

Does anyone know if the mug holder can be mounted to the rear hand grips on a GS/RS? I noticed when looking at all the pics. it is mounted on the handlebar on the right-hand side. I have my handle bar mounted clock/watch there. Anyhow, it's my gf that drinks coffee, which is why I ask.

I have some pics with the Butler mounted where the gauge was, but the iPad won't let me drag down the pics. I will post them when I get back home.

I've only seen pictures with the Butler installed on the right side of the bars. Can it be installed of the left side?

That looks great, my issue is I always wear a fullface helmet when riding so will the straw be long enough to get it in my helmet for a drink?

I checked out the site and those are really nice and look like they are oem. However---OUCH:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:!!!

Type A
$80.76 ea.

Type A includes the Butler Mug, Ring and all the bracketing necessary to use the Butler mug only.

Type B
$105.83 ea.
Type B is a Type A plus the Butler Knuckle. The Butler Knuckle is a device that allows for the articulated mounting of an additional device such as GPS, camera, cell phone holder, etc.

Type C
$147.48 ea.
Type C is a Type B with an extension rod and additional Butler Knuckle. This type extends the articulated mounting point with either a 3 inch, 4 inch, or 6 inch rod. This rod attaches to the primary Butler Spyder handlebar bracket with a Butler Knuckle and includes another Butler Knuckle at the far end of the extension rod. A Butler Knuckle is a 2 inch device, so the use of a Type C bracket allows for an articulated extension of an additioanl device by a total of 7 inches (using the 3 inch rod), 8 inches (using the 4 inch rod), or 10 inches (using the 6 inch rod). These extensions are measured from the primary handlebar bracket.

For those that have questions regarding the mug holder, they respond very quickly. I e-mailed them late last night and they responded this morning. You can also call.

If anyone else was interested, the mug holder should not be attached to the passenger grab bars.

Nice job. Did you use just the Butler compression ring and a RAM ball with 1/4" x 20 thread (female connection)?

stevedfive

I think that was the size. I added a RAM mount to the Butler Cup Holder, RAM Cup Holder, and the Drink 2 Go Holder so they would be interchangeable on the bike.

I want to know about the camera holder. Please. Thank you

There is a six inch extension bar with knuckle that connects to your Butler Mug Holder System ...pretty easy, after connecting it, screw your camera into the threading on the end and it is perfectly centered on the windshield and not in your way at all....less shaking too...Contact Mike at Butler to order this or if you have not order anything make sure to include this. Hope this helps...

The Butler Mug System that is now available and customized for both spyder models. Works great! plus it has adapters for camera or other with a 6 inch, 4 inch and three inch extension. The 32 oz Butler Mug is best for any liquid and stays cold and warm for long periods of time and even longer with ice. The placement of the system is less obstrusive and safe too using th cross draw method and not blocking anything. Many other drop in bottle baskets are not healthy and not real functional.....This system does it all...!!!

I've had mine mounted for 2+ years now. Got it at the AMA conference in Keystone, Colorado. The 32oz works great for Iron Butt rides. Mount my Go Pro HD to it when not drinking.

Can the Butler mug holder support a Tervis 24oz travel cup?
I checked my Butler 32oz. Mount to a 24 oz. Tervis on my GL1800. No go. The mount is larger than the cup. Maybe the smaller Butler would fit, but I can't confirm.
I love the Butler 32 oz. mug, and highly recommend them. Just returned from Cuba, MO. on a new RT and rode in 90+ degree sunshine for 580 hot miles. My first add on order this morning was for the Butler 32 oz. Spyder Mug and mount. My buddy rode my GL1800 back with me, and really appreciated having the Butler on that bike.

Butler or Bust! ( ie: Dehydrate)

Placed my order for the 32oz. RT set up this morning. Just returned home from Cowtown last night and put 580 miles on the RT LTD on the return trip. ( first service already scheduled). My buddy rode my GL1800 back, and loved the Butler on it, especially in the 90 + degree heat. It's a must have add on for the Spyder. I missed having that ice cold Diet Coke, water or iced tea at my fingertips.
Have had the Butler on my Gl1800 for years. What a great product.
