Well the weather's been kind so far - I've managed three decent rides this year, and another coming today. Fortunately, my staff doesn't begrudge long late lunches on nice days, when my bike is parked outside. They all know what a pressure reliever it is - beats booze anytime. Since I live and work at the edge of the Metro area, there are a myriad of paved back roads, minutes away. I can usually get at least an hour of riding in before I see another car...

Looks like a wet week ahead, so I'd better stock up….. I'll wave, it I see ya!

Have had two great days in a row - managed 70 miles yesterday. Now we're looking at 2 weeks of rain, with snow at 1000 ft…. (and the government moved daylight savings to the middle of THIS!!! :p) Guess it's time for the spring oil change, getting around to installing that air horn I bought last fall, etc…..

And today, I think we have the most snow of the season today (yep, all of an inch!!), and rain forecast for the next 10 days. Perhaps there will be a dry day in April….

Over two inches of rain since the last snow, and more snow is forecasted for Sunday & Monday. Maybe I'll wander out to the garage, open the door & warm her up for a bit……

We were enjoying record breaking warm weather ... until last night. Then storm clouds appeared and before long warnings flashed on the TV. Eventually the sirens were sounding and we spent about 45 minutes in the basement waiting out a tornado watch. It had touched down about 10-15 miles north west of us. Normally these things move to the north east, but this one made a curve and headed south east, right towards our town. We returned to the basement several times when we could hear hail coming down, but we avoided the really bad stuff. But the neighboring town lost 10 homes, 100 homes suffered severe damage, but ... catch this - there were no deaths and no injuries! How fortunate. And today the sky is blue, cloudless and we're again enjoying 70 degree temps. Who knows what tomorrow will bring ... but today I rode.

Indeed - ride while you can. It's snowing outside, as I write this...

Yesterday's (3/21!!!) 4" of snow is almost gone. Maybe next week…….

Yesterday 3/24 hit 58, and no rain - a great day for a ride. I think every bike in the area was on the road! Now with our average gas priced over $4, even the Spyder is a spendy ride - it falls between my wife's Prius, and my F150 in costs per mile….

I've got a good idea on how to mount the floats to the RT - anyone know how to mount the jet ski impeller on the back? The way it's raining, I should be able to float out of my garage any day now.
