Just wondering if any one has purchesed the new seat option from BRP yet. I have the Utopia back rest and have given thought to buying the 2" set back touring seat soon. I'm not sure if the Utopia back rest will work with this new seat. I emailed Utopia today also. Thanks , Bob

Quesiton: Does the new seat's configuration steal room away from the passenger for the operator, or have they found a way to make some magic happen back there? :shocked:

I know that its been brought up on threads before but BRP says that the comfort seat for the RT is standard on the Limited model in the 2012 eccessaries book. Is this a miss print by BRP?

Yes It is a miss print, I have confirmed with my Dealer.

What is the price range of these? I've always thought mine was too restrictive and would like a bit more room. I don't carry passengers so thats of no concern to me.

I emailed Utopia and they have not seen the new seat. My question to them if their back rest would work on that seat. Having not seen one yet he asked me if we could get him some pictures of the new seat. I emailed my dealer to see if he has ordered one yet but waitting on his reply. They need pictures of the top, side & bottom of the seat to determine what has changed. If any one can help that would be great. Thanks again, Bob

IF the driver has a 2" set back, my next concern would be handle bar position. Seems one thing just leads to another.:dontknow:

I'm 6'3" and my arms are comfortable where they are. As for set back, the alternative (IMHO) are highway pegs (maybe in the not to distant future).

The seat in the picture is the one that came stock on my new 2012 RS/T Spyder. I have no problem with the handlebar setting. I'm 6'4", and it rides fine for me.

i paid with tax 525 smackers, took me 20 minutes to install, the seat raises you a quarter of an inch, better quality and more comfortable
