This is the size air craft that our club has been getting into in the last 10 years. The techolgy availble now is amazing, especially the electronics. I am not active in the club anymore due to health but I built many of the large scale planes up that time. New light wieght power plants make 40% and larger 3D aircraft possible (200 cc or more). This pilot is exceptional

Kevin (Spyder Guru) at Cowtown plays with these types of planes and I emailed Dan at cowtown to let Kevin take a look at this guys fun with his plane. I think Kevin would be able to keep up with all the tech of this type of plane.

Oh, the memories of rubber band escapments, short range transmitters, and watching a 7 foot model of a J-3 Cub with a Forester 99 disappear over the horizon when it lost the signal. Of course, I couldn't fly it like this guy, and it couldn't fly like that plane, but that was 54 years ago.

Is that really flying or merely ground avoidance? Truly awesome to watch. Thanks for posting.
