i had just over 62k on the odometer when it reset.

also the hour meters stopped working.

Flamingobabe is right. There is an update that would have corrected this and allowed the ODO to go beyond the 62K. Not much help to you now :yikes:. Sorry.

Your Spyder is most likely out of warranty but it would probably be worth your while to take it in and get all of the service updates done. Did you have the steering recall done?

Not necessarily, Silver Dream is still in warranty until May 12, 2013, and plan to use-it all... :doorag:

If in fact, he hasn't done it for 62,000 miles, why worry now?.......:dontknow:
I'm close to retest the 62,136.8 mark again...just to see if the service updates works :D

My "total hours" quit working early last summer but everything else was still working fine until about 58,000 miles, then the "trip hours" quit working. I am about 59,400 miles now and expect eventually will loose more functions and will probably end up replacing the whole cluster if I loose total miles or speedometer this year. Do the dealers know about the upgrade on the odometer? I would like to get that done and see if I can possibly roll up to the 100,000 mile mark.:thumbup:

There is a service bulletin on the update to the odometer. You may have to request that it be done, however, I don't think it is done otherwise.

It is done automatically in service for RS's as soon as the BUDS (version 3.0.5 or higher) is pluged-in. :doorag:

If your spyder is running great I believe there is no need to get any update done especially that dumb mileage update, who cares if it reads 110000 or 10000 you know your true miles. Many of you know why I am totally against this update.

The idea is to apply the patch before: now is to late to change "Total Hours" and "Trip Hours"; even with the odometer software patch done your "Total Hours" and "Trip Hours" will never function, this is the most they can display:

BUDS would not give me the update for my 2009 GS. I will try again.
