I got this in today, have not installed yet but did run to 12volt and WOW, very bright and accurate and really easy to read. The Canam is the first bike I have owned with out a volt meter. The volt meter saved me twice on long trips when I saw a drop and immediately headed for a dealer. Both times it was the stator and not the battery, but saved the day. I will post photos when installed to show the brightness. Below is a description, wires are out the back, and double face tape puts it where you want it. Comes in black or chrome, I purchased black to match the dash and not reflect the sun on my eyes. It was around $34.00 delivered. I believe the Canam has an battery idiot light, but I really like having a meter. Hoping the new bike is ready to pick up this weekend.

The Kuryakyn L.E.D. Battery Gauge is an array of L.E.D.'s indicating the operating voltage of the bike's electrical system. Green L.E.D.'s represent the normal operating range of your charging system, 12.5v to 14.5v. Amber L.E.D.'s warn the rider that the bike is not charging. If the reading drops below 10v or exceeds 15v, a flashing red L.E.D. will alert the rider of an impending stall or the possibility of damage to the battery and/or sensitive electronic components on the motorcycle.

I have one, I put it under the seat.

Check the Volts after I fill the tank.

How is the illumination at night? The description states "Illumination color can be changed by using optional light diffusers available in green or red" - do these come with the gauge?

I also noticed your 12v socket on the speaker cover, looks nice - any issues with the handlebar hitting the plug when you have something plugged in?

At $20 it is a bargain. The 12v outlet has no clearance problems but I suppose some bulky adapters/cords might give trouble.
