Now to get it replaced... This will be #3 replacement in less than 23,000 miles

I will say, between High adventure ( Salt Lake City ) and ( West Coast Power sports ( Clearwater, fl ) and BRP They got me on the raod in one day each... Kudo's to all..
Now I hope to have the same fortune this week.

Getting mine tomorrow. 17,700 miles on the 2010 RT. We have been playing around with different ideas, but kept having the issue, so BRP said replace TB. The RT has never let us down, just takes a little time to start it at times. I have found that if I used the emergency kill and leaving the ignition on, (the head lights will turn off in a few seconds and the fender lights stay on) that when starting again it will start 100% of the time without any issue.

Got the Throttle Body replaced today. All seems to have been resolved. Apparently the TB motor goes south and then the butterflies fail to open/close when they are supposed to. Good job, BRP in getting me back on track. My dealer has experimented on this since September and exhausted all possible causes so now I should have it right. New TB, new TPS, 2 new O2 sensors, new muffler....ready to really roll.

Didn't think the 2010 had the same TB issues as the 2011. Heard the 2011 had a program problem causing TB to fail. Did your TB fail for some other reason? My 2010 sometimes cranks a little longer when hot but has never failed to start.

I didn't think the 2010s had any issues either...mine may be the first and last. I was getting the P1614 code. The tech patiently worked on and eliminated all possibilities until the only thing left was the TB. He suspects that the "motor" or whatever it is that activates the butterflies just went south. The RT would always start in limp mode no matter what, hot or cold. After several off/on actions, it always started correctly. BUT, I was getting a bit concerned about it one day not starting, and Jennifer and me be in the middle of nowhere (which is anywhere in this part of the country). So, thankfully, we were still able to ride about 4000 miles without being left stranded. Looking forward to many issue free starts again.

The Throttle Body Warranty Campaign just affects the 2011s. There have been some cases of failures of the 2010 throttle bodies, however. In some of those the positioner fails, sometimes completely instead of just throwing a code. There was talk of a replacement positioner for those failures, but I am not aware of one having been released to this point. As a result, failure of any throttle body component will likely result in throttle body replacement.

That was the main reason that I was en-route to my dealer when the "Big Bang" occurred: P1614... :gaah:
and mine is a 2010 also!
