I just reserved my room in Durango. Staying t the Knights Inn 2391 Main Ave Durango Colorado 81301. Phone number is 970 247 0593. Lady said only 26 rooms in this motel and only 18000 people in Durango. Room rate with AAA was 61.10 per night. Reserved room from June 20 thru 23 for total of 204.72. Most of other motels were way more expensive. When I go to visit in Florida I always stay at a Knights Inn and it is descent.

Hey Craig, I am planning on two days up there and two days back plus 3 days in Durango. I think Lamont is planning on meeting in Albuquerque New Mexico on the 19th and having a ton of Spyders ride into town together. I want to enjoy the scenery anyway. Hope you and Laura can make it. Guess I will see you guys on Sunday as well.

Did they require a nonrefundable deposit? I was talking with Alpine Motel & they wanted $238 deposit for 3 rooms and 5 nights & wouldn't refund if we cancelled. Hard to do it 6 months in advance, although we do plan to be there. Didn't reserve a room yet.

Mark they told me I could cancel as long as 24 hours prior to check in. If less than 24 hours they would charge me for one night anyway. Craig I still am going to wait on New Mexico reservation til see what Lamont has planned because Albuquerque is a lot bigger town and want to stay kinda close to everyone else.

Just keep us posted on rest of hotel bookings. This will be our first "far" group ride we for sure need/want to stay with our group! Very excited about seeing Colorado.

Working on a time share that we have in Durango, but can't get anybody until tomorrow, so I've gone ahead and booked a double room (2 queens) at Knight's Inn as well. We can talk about this Sunday.

It would be fun to be with more SpyderLovers from all over.

It wouldn't be that hard to cancel the other reservations and stay at the Ramada.

If we are going to switch, it should be done sooner than later.

Personally prefer to keep reservation at Knights Inn in Durango we already booked

Add two more to the group, just made reservations at Knights Inn also. Don't worry Twain, we're riding 2 up on the Spyder and pulling a trailer. Hopefully Kim can keep up with ya'll. Also have a very good friend north of Albuquerque. Will probably spend the night with her.

Anyone have a recommendation for an RV campground in Durango for the June event ? KOA Phone #800-562-0793 Said they are closed till May but I made reservation for a tent spot for 20 to23 June. Their email is durangokoa@sisna.com if you want to fax? # is 970-247-3655. Have a web page at http://koa.com/campgrounds/durango/ rates vary depending on rig. Enjoy the ryde there and all the fun when you get into the spot you want. There's others but this one had for tents. I have a Trailer life Directory for campgrounds and stuff like that. Let me know and I'll look up more spots "IN" Durango. Pm or email ssgslm6@yahoo.com and I'll try to get off some more info to you.

I booked at the knights in too. The rooms advertised at $55 and $61 are non-refundable. You have to bump up to the $69 & $79 to get the 24 hour refund policy. At least that's what the fine print says.
