I purchased some for my Suziki Burgman from DDM Tunning. I see that our bikes use a 9005 bulb style so I think the double set simular to the one pictured here should work in a 55 watt ballast: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-35W-55W-Dual-Motorcycle-HID-Kit. In my Burgman I bought the 35 watt versions and the light out put was slightly better than the factgory 55 watt bulbs and was an intense white color so I was very happy with them. I guess the Spyder RT moves the actual lens back and forth to create Ho/Hi beam correct?

Any one see why these would not work in this application?

As I said, I used these on my 650 Burgman and install was easy. The signal comes from a connector that mates up to the old bulb plug, power comes directly from the power source. The hi/lo function is achieved by moving the bulb back and forth. Since our lenses move in and out a standard 9005 bulb should be all that is requried to achieve the same effect on the Can-am which makes the kit even less expensive...$50+ shipping which if I recall last time was about $16.

Randy

I've had DDM kits in both my cars and a previous one, too. Total time over 4 years. Never a problem. Quick shippers and great products...

The North American Spyders (RS & RT) use a shutter, that covers the upper part of the lens on low beam. They use single filament bulbs.

It really sucks that the Spyder is so nit picky compared to my other bikes which were also computer monitored. Anyone every try this companies HID kit on a spyder?

Regards,
I bought my kits (headlights and fog lights) on Ebay for less than $35.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-SLIM-HID-KIT-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H10-9005-9006-4300K-/130333959732?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e58826634 and after more than a year I have NOT had ONE problem with the slim digital ballasts. Make an offer for a few bucks less and you got um.
You can also go to http://www.spydertalk.com/forums/topic/12758-hid-lighting/ to read about the instalation process and review.
I hope you have as good of luck as I have had C-YA RL
