He just called from Dover AFB. He escorted a few fallen soldiers home this trip. Said he could delay coming home for a few days to make sure this soldiers made it to their home towns with respect and dignity. God I love my boy!...I am a blessed man!...sitting here crying like a big ol baby...beaming with pride...what did I do right to have such a great son>?...Got some news from him that I didn't take to well. Guess he isn't going to retire after all. He's going to stay til he reaches 30 yrs...but he will be home town for the first year then off to Japan for a few yrs...But I get it....looking out for his guys.....well at least he will be where I can go see him....thank you all for your thoughts and prayers....he is looking forward to our first trip together this spring....maybe we will stop n and visit with a bunch of you.. I know he really wants to meet Lamont for some reason....:)

Your son's dedication in delaying his arrival home to make sure these fallen-heros make it to their home with dignity is a true sign that your son has grown into a great and decent man, beyond many.

I salute him for his dedication to these heros that have given their all for our country.

May your time with him be the best you can make.

I would like to thank your son, and all the other members of this community who have served to allow for the freedoms I enjoy on a daily basis. You all are what people should really consider heros, and I wish more people understood the sacrifices and successes of our armed forces across the globe.

I hope you all ride often and share something new and bond! If you come to see Lamont I would like to shake your hands, and Lamonts sons for that matter!

I appreciate all that serve.

That makes three of us. Give him a big ol' biker bear hug from me. And thank him for all the sacrifices he made to keep this country great.

What did you do right to have such a great son? You let him be who he wanted to be...

You are a wonderful father. Enjoy the road trips to come. :doorag:
