I actually got dressed up with my ski mask and was on my way out the door until I remembered it was Sunday, but that gives me more time to plan for Monday like putting on pants.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_6_12.gif If they catch you; send your Spyder's keys to Lamont and we'll all make sure to keep it from getting stale while you are being "entertained" by the State...
(Now I've got to go take a peek at those wheels...)

I do believe those would really freak the "NANNY" out,....unless of course, you didn't put tires on them....:yikes:....:roflblack:....mike...

Who needs tires when you have 20 inch wheels?

The product description shows the finish as "Black Powder Coat". I realize that the picture shows chrome, so who do you believe?

First, you'd have to take the fenders off, which I don't care for rocks flying into my face, nor my paint job while turning.

Second - those are front wheels....it wouldn't affect the nanny at all since it's connected to the shocks and rear wheel.

But if you could figure out a way to hang some lights on them... :2thumbs:
I think that Nanny might have some trouble digesting some of the inputs generated by those... The speed differential between the front and rear might set her off... :gaah: Unless you got hooked up with a bigger rear setup as well!

It is not the wheel size that affects the nanny, but the wheels/tire combination. If you can fit a low enough profile tire on a larger wheel to keep the total diameter about the same, you will have the same number of revolutions per mile, and will not upset the electroncs. BTW Joet82, the front wheel speed is monitored on the Spyder, and if it doesn't reasonably match the rear wheel speed, the nanny does indeed get unhappy. The traction control can be triggered, and the ABS may become disabled as a result, in addition to limp mode and a slew of warnings.

The rear wheel/tire setup should be about 23.85" tall... At least if my Math skills are close to intact! :roflblack:
(225/50R-15...)
Now go check out tirerack.com and break out the calculators!

See I told you so....nay nay nay...nay nay....and Scotty what aspect ratio are those 20 inch tires going to have "15"....you might as well have solid rubber for all the flex those babies will have....:roflblack:..:roflblack:..:roflblack:..:ro flblack:.......Mike....

I didn't say I was a fan, only that the wheel size alone doesn't determine Miss Nanny's reaction. I personally refer to these as "TinkerToy" wheels...and yes, they ride like old solid rubber tires, at least they do on cars.

:agree: Going to a wheel like that will require lots more thought than what it takes to write the check... or rob the bank!
Larger overall diameters at both ends will give you the aspect ratios necessary to keep it from riding like it's on solid ribber tires, but now you've got clearances to ponder and ride heights to ruminate over...:shocked:

Scotty is right of course, from a functional standpoint they just don't work. And they look fairly ridiculous anyway. But that is just my twisted opinion. I'm leaning more towards getting some quality adapters and then running a nice 15 inch wheel and 225/50's all the way 'round.

Had a talk with a local fabricator who is a race guy and we talked about redoing the whole front end, but the cost was outta sight...
