Chattanooga, TN Toy Run 12/10/11

the Hamilton County Toy Run will be on Dec 10, 2011, at the
HWY 58 Kmart, just off of HWY 153, at 11:00AM. so if you're
in our area, PLEASE join in the ride. at present, I will be the
only Spyder, that I know of.

the weather is supposed to be in the 50s and sunny. please
bring an unwrapped gift; for children living in a local shelter.

a bit brisk, but very sunny, 156 bikes with one and two-up riders, probably 11 or more m/c clubs ( Black Knights, Black Pistons, Christian Motorcycle Assoc., Freedom Riders, Outlaws, Southern Riders, Spyder Ryder of America-TVC, Steel Brothers, US Military Vets; and several others I forgot to write down ). Hamilton Country Sheriff's Ofc and Chattanooga PD provided great escort for the entire route; and it blocked several major area intersections, so the run was observed by a lot of people.

I met Ryan and Sonya ( hope I spelled it correctly) and Jack; the only ryders in this area that were able to participate. and this was Ryan and Sonya's very first organized ride and toy run. so meeting some new people and having someone broken in on their first ride, was a good day. and... no accidents either. :bowdown: ( no collapsed accordian collisions, and no one pulling out into the line of bikes ).

thanks for posting the pics Jack. it was good to meet all of you; and Ryan is really interested in getting the area ryders together. good way to start the new year.

It was great to be out and riding! I enjoyed it and plan on joining the one this coming weekend. Spelling is almost 100%, it's Sonja, she is German until she was in her teens then came to America and has since become a citizen. She loved being out and riding as well!

We are all about riding as often as possible. While I live here, she is currently living and working in Birmingham, so we are looking for any riding events from here, there, in between and within an hour or so.

We hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to more events. Absolutely looking for more riding trips in the new year, and I will be looking for reasons, places, and events. Im a social animal.

The Chattanooga Toy Run is planned for this Saturday, Dec 17. Bring a toy and meet at the K-Mart on Hwy 58 about 1pm and the ride starts at 2pm. The charity is Children's Home - Chambliss Shelter. http://www.ch-cs.org/

The ride ends at the Childrens home, located at 315 Gillespie Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411-3199 (near Brainerd Rd & Tunnel Blvd).
