Next week I'll be picking up my 2012 white RT and trailer and will start the mod process all over again.:2excited:

I got all my lighting from Dave at Custom Dynamics and this time I'll be adding the Street Magic Brightsides (http://www.customdynamics.com/can_am_spyder_led_lighting.htm#Street%20Magic%20Br ightsides) along with the along with the HMT Brake Light (http://www.customdynamics.com/can_am_spyder_led_lighting.htm#Street_Magic_Genesi s_LED_RT_HMT_Brake_Light). Still my favorite light to date is the mud flap lights (http://www.customdynamics.com/can_am_spyder_led_lighting.htm#LED_Front_Mud_Flap_ Replacement_Kit_) and I'll be adding those too. This time I won't be hooking them up as brake and turn signals because they tend to flash in my videos. I went with the shorty antennas (http://www.customdynamics.com/can_am_spyder_antenna.htm) too seeing they look great and work well.

I have a new Corbin seat, Elka shocks and a 665 Garmin to install too along with a bunch of BRP chrome and graphics from Pete at PowerSportsWraps. I'm going to take my time and take a lot of pics and videos to help those of you that may be installing the same parts in the future. Look for some new DIY post in the near future. :doorag:

Looking forward to it, Lamont! I'm particularly interested in all the lighting (I'd like to get pretty much all the same stuff you've selected), and any DIY pix or videos would be most welcome, particularly for those of us who are pretty low on the technical scale. ;)

Seeing your getting a new RT 2012 Model

Just interested to find answers to the following questions :

Why have you changed to the new 2012 model
What will happen to your previous model
How many miles did/has your previous model covered

Will your new 2012 model have all the known issues e.g. Throttle bodies problem etc resolved before delivery

Are you working on a new theme for the Wrap

Even though you are more than capable of fitting all those goodies
If the option to have had some of the accessories already fitted e.g. the HMT Brake light would you have gone for this option if they could be
factory fitted

At present I have no wish to update my 2010 model, Considering the mods I've done, It would be like starting over again

Congrats on the New Spyder as always look foward to your updates and Posts

Answers in bold.

Just interested to find answers to the following questions :

Why have you changed to the new 2010 model
I changed to a 2012 from a 2010 pre production prototype.

What will happen to your previous model.
I had a battery short out when I was in Daytona and it melted my wiring harness. It can be repaired but BRP would like this one back so they can tear the motor apart and see how things are holding up seeing it's been rode hard most of it's life towing a trailer.

How many miles did/has your previous model covered
I had just over 38,000 miles on this one.

Will your new 2012 model have all the known issues e.g. Throttle bodies problem etc resolved before delivery
I would hope so but there's no way to know till I put some miles on it. My guess is yes any updates will be standard on the 2012 but that's not to say it couldn't have an issue, it is man made.

Are you working on a new theme for the Wrap
Yes, I'll be working with Pete but the theme will be pretty close to what I had on the black RT. It should look very different on a white background.

Even though you are more than capable of fitting all those goodies
If the option to have had some of the accessories already fitted e.g. the HMT Brake light would you have gone for this option if they could be
factory fitted
Seeing the parts I ordered are not BRP parts there is no way for them to do the install. I do wish I could have ordered it with all the BRP chrome installed at the factory.

At present I have no wish to update my 2010 model, Considering the mods I've done, It would be like starting over again

Congrats on the New Spyder as always look foward to your updates and Posts

I to will not change my 2010 RT for the 2012 model. I guess I to have me RT just the way I want it and BRP needs to bring out something better before they will get more of my money. My Elkas were the best add on that I made then came my belt tensioner and foot pegs that I made myself to get my leg position somewhere comfortable for my hips. Factory Floorboards would be nice !!

Lamont,

Whatever happened to your original GS Spyder? I haven't seen you post or talk about it lately. Is it now sitting in your garage next to your monster M109?

My daughter lives in Nashville and I've decided in the spring, I'll be trailering my RT-S down to her house (I'm not a fan of 700mi at 75 on the big slab.).

As we get closer, I'd like to stop by and meet you Lamont. And Jester, one of my reasons for trailering the Spyder down is to ride the Trace. I'm sure I'll go at least down to Tupelo. Maybe you'll be riding up the other direction...

I'll announce when I'm headed down and any fellow SpyderRyders that would like to meet up... I'm game.

Nice. I'm assuming it's the same white as the LTD? I'm not much on white vehicles but must say I do like that white on the LTD. Going to get the HMT soon to. Want that then will get the brightsides. BB decided we'll keep the SM5 for awhile longer.

Lamonster, from your picture of Street Magic stuff, what is the package that is shown on the far right with a yellow piece in it?
