Anyone have any moisture show up inside the digital display? It looks like some H20 got inside the plastic cover and dripped down. Thinking about trying to take it apart and clean it. Don't know if I should or not. Any ideas???

I was at a dealers on Friday and somebody brought in an RS with the same issue... The dealer was going to order up a replacement under warranty for them...

sort of runs/drips on the inside of the lens. Dealer (who is great) said it was not water and it needed a new lens, told me that there was not part to replace just the lens, but he had a way to get a lens from the mfg. Don't remember exactly, but he fixed it.

If you are talking about water on the overlay lens, that is not uncommon. Lots of Spyders show "snail tracks". With the cluster removed, it is possible to release the clips that hold the assembly together, and clean the back of the lens. This will not cure the problem, which is caused by a poor gasket seal. I do not recommend silicone or a similar sealing material, as the fumes during curing could harm the instrumentation. Be careulf when doing this, especially with an RS, since it is possible to lose parts or screw up the mode/set buttons on an RS. It is especially easy to lose the button magnets on an RS.

If the moisture or fogging is in the digital dispaly itself, replacement is the only answer.

Here's what you're looking at if you decide to take it apart.

Lamont when I saw your post I thought wow he must have a really good system for saving/naming his pictures on his computer because you just pop up with a picture of whatever the subject is. But then I saw your post on Facebook and saw that you tore apart your dash today just for the heck of it. You must be bored today.

You must be bored today.I would say bored, I move 10 tons of dirt for my slab, took care of all my sites, packed a bunch of spider decals and a couple of IPS's and I'm now heading to town to ship. I had an extra display sitting here so I decided to take it apart just for fun. :D

After looking at Lamonts post, I think I'll leave it to the dealer to take care of this. Scotty, it's my RTS and it is the digital display. I'll see what the dealer says.
