i ryde an 08 rs with 18000 miles. when engine has 4 to 5 bars temp, in 1st or 2nd gear, rpms below 3500 running on flat road, it seems to miss on one cylendar. when i bring rpms over 4000 or better, it will run smooth. on open road higher rpms it never misses. also if stay at 3 bars temp no problem. any ideas?

Your running to low at 35 hundred rpm, Especially in 2Nd gear. You should be shifting into 2Nd at better than 4 thousand rpm.

Take your side panels off and check the plug wires. Start it up when it's dark and if the wires are bad you will see blue arcing. You may have to rev it up a little to see it.

Make sure your gas cap is very tight if you keep riding it.

In addition to checking your spark plug cables, you might also want to replace your plugs. This is a classic sign of heat-related spark plug failure. Be sure to use the appropriate heat-sink compound on the new plug threads. If the problem persists, you may have a failing ECM.
