View Full Version : Tree Cutting Instead of Spyder Riding!

Spent the morning cutting down the big tree next to Lamont's driveway instead of riding (not that I would have had time to ride anyway :gaah:)

I guess Lamont is going replace the tree with a garage so he can get more stuff to ride and put it under roof! What will the environmentalists have to say about this! :yikes:

More service bays for the BBQ is that I'm thinking!

Here's a plan for you Ron. I've got a bunch of dead tress that need cutting and it would be a nice long Spyder ride for you to get here. Two birds - one stone.

You should be able to edit. Nothing has changed there as far as I know.

I'd say you've got your firewall, Internet protection boosted up to where it won't allow some features to be accessed. Or it could be the way you've got your SpyderLovers User Profile configured.

Life is getting so safe it's UNUSEABLE!

Ron, I feel your pain regarding chores and projects... :gaah: The Missus has had me roped and tied the past 2 weekends and this one ain't lookin' too promising either!
We used to always tell our Son that there are things that MUST be done first in order to do the things that we want to do... But it ain't fun when it cuts into Spyder-Tyme!:yikes:

But I've got some Trees up here if your chainsaw likes to travel...

Actually, I enjoyed it. Sorry about the tree though. But it lived way past it's prime with your Chain Binder trick. Very glad I didn't get any of those NEW windows! :yikes:

You mean you don't have to drop them right next to a house with 2 big picture windows that just got brand new replacments in custom, double pane, thermal treatment glass?

Sounds a bit boaring.... Right up my alley! When do we start?

Nope , There a mile or so in the woods , But i did have a buddy of mine refuse to move his ATV, Claimed hes an expert at felling trees, [Sullivan Co local]
Those local's think that anyone living east of them are City Folk and don't know nothing. [P/S we know how to steal their water]
Well i guess he was aiming for his ATV, Hit it dead center.:roflblack:

Actually, we're not sure whose tree it is! There is a fence that comes right up to the middle of the tree. It's not in my yard at all, but the 2 neighbors behind me. We (neighbor right behind me) think it belongs to the rental property, but not positive. A surveyor would probably have to come out to know for sure.

I've been cutting branches off the dang thing since I moved in here 10 years ago!! If it's hangin' on my side, I have the right to get rid of it (and save my phone lines since that's where the branches keep popping up).

I keep hoping a storm will take it down....:D

Lamont...we understand about the trees.....a 2 - 2 and 1/ 2 foot trunk Ash tree just fell over back by the pond...just before our last trip....when we get home...we have 3 branches from 2 different trees...each branch about 12 - 18 inches have broken off and hanging or on top of the old barn....we have not had rain...except for a little over and inch since January...this drought is killing trees all over down here in Houston area...my electric bill for the water well is about $30. this drought is causing it to be about $80 ...we have soaker hoses all around the house and barns...got to keep our fruit trees alive.....

Mine was not related to anything other than maybe wind and the fact that Bradford Pear trees are known for splitting like that. I had a big chain and binder on mine and that gave it another 9 years of life but it was going to go sooner or later. Just hope my big oak lives longer than I do.
