We left Lake Placid Sat. on our way to the Casino, planning a stop by the Roberts dealership in Malone. About 20 mi. before we got there the cluster started flashing BATTERY. We tried to ease it along, but it died with about a mi. to go. I remembered a card Wayne had given us with his cell # and instructions to call him if we had any problems. I called and he said he would have someone to pick us up. Shortly a very nice young man showed up and we loaded it onto his trailer and went to their shop. The tech checked it out and told us the Stator was bad and they didn't have one at either store. I told them that I had my truck and trailer at my hotel at Lake Placid and if someone would take me to it I would come back and get the Spyder. Wayne's daughter said they would just haul it back to my truck and help me load it. That was a trip of 45 mi. They loaded it back up and we were ready to leave when I asked for my bill and she said no charge. Another very nice young man took us back to our hotel and helped us get loaded for our trip home. How's that for an outstanding dealer? Wayne, his daughter, the techs and everyone we met at Roberts couldn't have been nicer. The Spyder people in this area are very blessed to have this dealership! It was about 1:30 by the time we were ready to go and I went to the office to tell the lady that we had trouble and were leaving early. She checked us out and didn't even charge us for that night. I thought that also went above and beyond good service. That was at the Econo Lodge. As at every Spyder event we have been to, we met a lot of very nice people, and had a super good time!

Excellent! I really like reading favorable comments. It makes me want to get my ride that much more. Sounds like BRP should be holding medal ceremonies for these dealers that go above and byond.:2thumbs:

Rudy, I too was very sorry to hear about your spyder's misfortune. However, I am glad to hear that Connie and you were able to have the help and graciousness from others that you did. I know that you would have done the same for anyone in the same situation. Your friendliness and graciousness is contagious.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Rudy, but I'd have to say your experience with the Roberts was as great as ours was. We ended up at Roberts' dealership twice while we were at SITA...first time to replace our rear tire, which was quite bald after we put 4000 miles on it during our summer :spyder2: adventure (just over 16000 miles on it, all together) and the second time when our check DPS signal came on during the poker run. Fortunately we came out of limp mode for most of the second trip since we were quite a ways from them at the time. Both times we were quite impressed:clap::clap::clap:with their friendliness and over-the-top service. We had to stay in their area overnight to have the tire changed and they even called to get us a reservation at an RV park a few miles away. Kudos to the Roberts family for providing fantastic service with a smile. Sure wish they were in our area!
