The one of me jacking the Spyder and pulling the wheel out was with the Drift.

Thanks Lamont !!! This video for sure will help me. My Spyder has got 10,000 miles on her, and when winter comes I will be attempting this.
Yes, I spun my wheel a few times !!! But in my defense, I didn't mean it. :roflblack::roflblack:

Keep up the good work with your video's. One question......How do you get the bearings out ????

I'm going to do another video on replacing the bearings but you just knock them out from the backside.

Yes, I've done it like this on the RT.

No problem, it's kind of fun to do but I see things I could do better next time.

Thanks Lamont. Will there be a single place where these videos will all be gathered together for quick subject matter searches?

Yes, it's in the works. I'll be moving this to the "How To" board too.

When pulling rear wheel bearings, what do/did you use to remove the "wheel bearing nut"? I see there is a specific BRP tool, just wondering what's being used and would still be able to torque to 15 ft lbs.

Just put yet another rear tire on tonight using this method and again it was a real time saver. I even mounted the tire to the rim myself this time.

Only thing I always seem to have to think about is whether you push the tire IN while tightening the axle or if you pull the tire OUT. I pushed in. Brain is trashed tonight so I hope that was right. Lol

What I do is let the jack down and that will tension the belt then I tighten the axle nut.

Thought about doing my own tires but our little shop in town does it for 5 bucks so why bother. :2thumbs:

Question? I’m planning on replacing my back tire and was wondering if it’s necessary to remove the sprocket, rotor, and hub from the rim to replace the tire. Or I only need to do that if I’m going to replace the bearings?

Lamont - Does removing the lower shock mounting bolt eliminate the necessity of loosening the tensioner screws?

I'm asking this because the procedure outlined in the service manual does not remove the shock mounting bolt and says to loosen the tensioner screws.

You can do it by the book method, too, but then the belt has to be retensioned and realigned. Removing the shock bolt (and ASC link) allows you to do the work without retensioning or realigning (if you keep the tensioners seated tightly upon reinstallation). Use either method that suits your desires.
