did not get the best time, was super humid and 100 degrees out, did NOT have the drag slick on but did have the woods exhaust without and with the baffle in.
13.556 is the best I did for time but everyone there say they were .5 or a full second slower because of the weather.

Won the Reaction time competition which got me a red topped car battery, a nascar napa hat, and a $190 Australasian drift competition at BIR this weekend which I work(so its for sale, and the battery)

Seth,

Big deal, you got'a be kidding. I got 107 mph out of my mechanically standard non fixed Spyder GS. There was more juice left in it but I got chicken. My 2008 SE5 Spyder has a big windshield and no mechanical alteration and this was done at 7,200 feet elevation.

ahahahah, I just read this and was confused until I read everyone elses posts. Yes this is my 1/4 mile speed. if you are only getting 107 out of your spyder then there is something desperately wrong with it, red line in 4th is 114(on the speedo) and every spyder should that. its right about where the wind resistance catches you. This was my bad in not putting 1/4 mile in the description.

here are some time slips, again it was muggy as hell and it was slowing me down. I have to get back in the 12's , no one was there from the family because it was too hot for those sallies so I was going to start adjusting my rear shock to see what I could get out of it.

the one slip by itself was the first run of the day with all my bags and wheelchair bracket on.

When a Spyder crosses the border it automatically resets from MPH to KMPH. :gaah: and you can't reset it til you cross back over the border.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Does your time slips also have an 1/8 mile time? If so what was it? Also from the top what do the numbers represent.

stuck in the deer that I hit, the cops that cleaned it up said it looked like a space shuttle blew up on the highway. Besides it makes it look mean.

i don't think I still have them from doing it in clearwater FL. I was 8.9''s I think, Doc and I posted something about this.

There is an inherent time lag for the SE to shift with no opportunity to powershift. You can hold the throttle position but there is a sequence that: aa solenoid that will roll back the throttle, disengage the clutch, fire the shift solenoid, re-engage the clutch, solenoid rolls the throttle back on - great for a paddle shift operation but not very efficient if the mission is to scoot down a 1/4 mile.

It is clearly audible on the videos. Anyone know of a way to alter the SE shift sequencing to improve times? Listing to the audio, might be worth a few tenths of a second.

I caught doc on every shift, and all the other manual spyder I have drag raced against have lost time on their shifts, I have not drove a sm spyder so I was not aware that you can powershift one. Why don't you come up on on August 3rd and race? Its a pretty fun time.

OH SETHO
It wasn't that long ago at the Missouri Rendezvous that your bike was judged by Lanonts trained eye and you got the winning score. Along with your first bike show win came the recoginization by your peers ---hands down you should have won.

I hope drag racing gives you that same winning feeling.
CONGRATS.

Jim:thumbup:

shifts like butter, runs smoother than ever, I wish I could get more power out of it. IF you want your spyder to run well and be tuned correctly, then I would tell anyone to spend the 550 for the autotune and the pc 5. The screen was kind of a screw job because the autotune adjusts the bike.

was a factory first, and a great day filled with 99 out of 100 outstanding spyder owners. The true strong roots of the dysfunctional spyder family.

:agree:
The SE will give you faster shifts all day long. The techs at BRP told me that years ago and I wasn't buying it till I tried one. If you want to race go with the SE. nojoke

Sure, the shifts are instantaneous, hard to duplicate with a manual clutch..
