We took a nice 225 mile round trip ride today for lunch. We met Rtaz (Bob) and Devl (Devon) who only live 10 miles from the restaurant. Its always great to meet and make friends with other Spyderlovers. We had a three hour lunch so we had to take the expressway home to save time. Here is what we had for lunch:

Joe had a BLT
13664

I had the Bacon Cheeseburger
13663

And for dessert
13665

Only kidding about the dessert we didn't have room after the 2 pounds of bacon.

Wow. So where was this place?

It is called Tony's I75 Diner and it is in Birch Run, MI. We lived 30 miles from there for 6 years and never ate there but now that we live 125 miles away it was on the must do list. My husband is a fan of the show Man vs Food and they had done a segment on Tony's. That is a pound of bacon on both the BLT and the Burger and a gallon of ice cream.

I'm not feeling very hungry tonight...hard to believe isn't it.

There's another good place just east of 75 called The Exit, their bakery is excellent. 'Course if you go farthur east, then north first you get to Bronner's, then Frankenmuth.:2thumbs:
You can check on line for something called the Bacon Explosion. Sausage with a bbq rub wrapped in bacon - WOW!

Went to a place that served bacon topped bacon with a side of bacon. The dish although quite delicious lacked some depth and was a bit one dimensional. The plate was mound like with only a small garnish of bacon.

You can smell the bacon from a block away and it is wonderful.

That was probably the craziest thing that Joe has eaten since the Fried Hamburger at Joe's Gizzard City.

Try Bryan's or House Hash A Go Go for breakfast in San Diego, Ca. You will not need to eat for the next 24 - 36 hours.
