My dealer gave me a pretty good price for the chrome accessories for my RT Limited so I went ahead and bit the bullet. I just finished the last project of installing the handle bar cover. The installs weren't hard but the right side foot peg support casting took me about 6 hours. The hardest part is having to move the master cylinder forward enough to remove and install the new casting. In order to move the MC you have to move the brake fluid reservoir forward and do get to the two screws that mount the reservoir you have to move the rear cargo module back about 6 inches. Like said it's not hard, just time consuming. The handle bar cover also took me about 6 hours. You have have to move the console module forward enough to get access to the ignition switch. I also have a GPS so I had the extra work of removing the GPS cable so It could be threaded through the new cover. All the instructions were spot on except for two steps. For the foot peg support casting they missed the step about disconnecting the air pressure valve under the seat so the rear cargo module can move back. The other was for the handle bar cover and disconnecting the head light adjustment controls behind the middle side covers. Other than that all went well. I am really happy with the results. It looks so much better than the stock grey paint. :2thumbs:

:agree: Y Rider You did a fantastic job on it. Looks great. The only thing I see that you might want to add is the Chrome cover for the ball hitch. If you look at J & P cycles they have them in there for $10 or $12. but if you get it you should drill a hole and put a bow nut (I think thats what they are called) to hold it on. We lost a couple of them before John finally figured they were blowing off. That bowl nut or set screw when screwed in all the way will keep it from blowing off. Just an Idea. John enveys you. CJ

:2thumbs: nice job it looks great. Have you given any thoughts to having the rims and sprocket plated. I had mine done in 2008 and they held up perfect it will put your bike over the top in my opinion.
