I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but I didn't find it.

My RSS SE5 feels like it is grinding rocks at 5500 rpm, all gears. There is also a cyclical vibration felt in the left foot peg. What is it? How do I get rid of it. I have about 2500 miles on it and like to ride aggressively.

Some vibration in the pegs is normal for the Spyder. Seems to be slightly different depending on the gear, but somewhere between 3500 and 5500 there is a "resonance point" for lack of a better term that results in greater-than-normal peg vibration. Whenever I feel it, it's the Spyder's way of telling me "add more RPM, go faster" :doorag:

That said, I'd never characterize it as a "grinding rocks" sensation, so perhaps you have a more serious issue.

I have the same feeling 4500-5500, feels like grinding marbles.

It's going to the dealer on Monday to check it out

I hate to use a dealer term but it's normal for that engine, and belt combination. It is a little unnerving at first. Not as smooth as most[REG] MC engines.

I've had many motorcycles and cars, and am not afraid to tear them apart.

This is a bit more, I am leaning to the engine nut/bolt-head grinding the frame.
The engine runs fine, give a little gas (engine may tilt a bit) and it does it.
