It will, but I would strongly suggest trading in that Ford in For a Toyota Tundra !!! :joke: Good luck if you do. I wouldn't, but if you had no other options. YES it will.

You will have to put it in with the rear end first as the wheel wells will prevent the front from going in first. The front tires will most likely be resting on the tail gate. I used a Dodge Ram and it worked.

Tundras recommended, so the spyder can pull it home if it breaks.:roflblack::roflblack:

Hauling em "bass-ackwards" can be dicey... The windshields just aren't designed with that in mind... Use caution and reduce your speed!

It will only break at 400,000 miles. Then you might have to replace the waterpump so you can get another 400,000 miles out of it.

First of all... LOVE MY TUNDRA!!!:2thumbs:

Second: :agree: with Bob and the rest of the members that posted on the other forum regarding transporting the :spyder2: on a truck. Because of the 2 wheels in the front, the only way to get it up there would be backwards. Also, you would need to incline the truck and use a heavy duty full size ramp. With all that in mind, the windshield being backwards can mess it up. And strapping it down will be very difficult.

I rather get at least a landscape trailer and strap it down there. Luckly, I have a friend that has an enclose trailer and since I found him a place to store it instead of paying for a storage area, he would let me use it whenever I need it.;)

It will but I wouldn't do it.

I've loaded sleds in the back of my truck but they can go in nose first. Still a PITA though.

For the Spyder I would think you would have to have a loading dock available. Not only that but as others have mentioned tying it down could be a challenge. Depending on distance, speed and type of windshield you have I would remove it for transport.

I would buy, rent or borrow a trailer.

Unlike some others on here I love your choice of truck. #1 selling truck since forever.

Would that be like dragging a big shark backwards to kill it?

The Tundra's ok, if you can afford 8mpg, and not carry much… I prefer my 22mpg RAM 3500… for those of us who NEED a real truck, the Asians haven't figured out how to build one yet.

Yes, the RS will fit, but not the RT, unless you leave the front end on the tailgate - NOT a wise thing to do, unless there's no other option - those supports are not rated for that kind of weight.

Best option is to rent/buy a trailer - much easier to load too.

Tundras are built in Texas... so you're saying that the Texan asians haven't figured out to build a truck... in truck country?!?!:roflblack::roflblack:

And as far as MPG... you have it backwards: 10 city/ 20 hwy for Tundra (never seen it fall below 12 MPG in the city and have gotten 21 on the interstate) vs 8 city /19 hwy for RAM 3500... 22 MPG:hun: You replace that engine??:D

I have to be honest here if i had a pickup (toyota) i would probably do it as for riding with the windshield on heres an idea TAKE IT OFF its 4 screws why hasn't anybody mentioned that part?.
ps maybe i will consider a ford next time i noticed they were the only company that did not take a loan from the government when they offer so they must have been doing something right all along. Gm has paid it back chrysler has not yet.

Gm has paid it back chrysler has not yet.

They both took new loans to pay it back. GM borrowed from the govt to repay the govt. Fiat gets chrysler for nothing. NADA. No risk at all.

Taxpayers get the shaft. :cus: :cus: :cus: :cus:

Actually there was a blurb in the paper today stating that Chrysler had repaid "most of" the loan... :gaah:

granpa in Cincy

To pay off the governments, Chrysler raised $3.2 billion through a bond sale and took out $3 billion in lower-interest bank loans. It also will use a $1.3 billion investment from Italian automaker Fiat SpA, which kicked in the money on Tuesday. That raises Fiat's stake to 46 percent, making it the largest shareholder.

At the owners rally in LA I saw an SUV with a GS/RS in back in front of the Sheraton. I'm not sure how they got it in there, let alone out. I wouldn't do anything like that fer sure.

F-150 6 1/2' bed will haul a GS/RS/RT fine with a 65" tailgate. Checkout www.rampagelift.com (http://www.rampagelift.com) with the trike adaptor. I've used one fpr 6 years w/o the trike adapter for two wheelers.

Thanks,

I was looking for a way to fit my new RTS in my Tundra, thanks...

A bit more pricey than a ramp, but I will check out, they are only 10 minutes from where I live.

Now we can get back to Harleys vs Spyders, instead of Tundras vs Fords...or Chevys... or Rams! :roflblack:

Considering the RT is 105" long and 60" wide, it won't fit unless it's a long bed and goes in backwards. Not going to get in the truck battle.

I guess you haven't ever heard a cummins powered dodge I know many people who have them and they get 22 easy and when you put 3+ tons behind them they still get 15 plus not 4 to 10 like a gasser , bring your toy trucks by and I'll beat it in 4 contests with my GMC quad steer 1 a trailer backing contest 2 any parking lot maneuver 3 any under hood parts change 4 the price of any part ,I have hauled my Spyder backward several time I just put a rubber bungie over the top of the windshield and hook it to the grips

What? No mention of Jeep pickup trucks, International pickups, Studebaker pickups, or VW pickups? Just don't seem fair. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
