Ever notice how low the catalytic converter hangs on the RT? It is exposed over an inch below the bottom of the Roadster. When you go slow or sit in traffic your feet know it's there, especially the passenger.

SPYDERPOPS now has the solution for this problem,
“Catalytic Converter Shields” for both sides of the RT. Many RT’s had these shields installed at Spyderfest and the results were great. They are made from black polycarbonate laminated with heat shield material on the back side.
They install using existing holes and all clips are included, very easy install with great results.

That is a pretty slick idea... Now I'm going to have to check with the Missus to see if her feet actually feel as if they're in a broiler... :D

A week ago on Saturday I got my first Spyder, got her off the trailer and went for a ride down the road. Dident make it a mile and my wife was holding her right foot off and into the wind. TO HOT she says. found a thread on here talking about heat shields. Got the Phone no. off Spyderpops web site. come to find out he lives about 1.5 hours away. on Sunday we went to meet him. VERY nice guy and his son. He installed the shields. On the way home in 102 deg. heat, wife says it was 100% better.

I have never met the man before, not trying to sale him to any one... But his product worked!! Thank you Spyderpops :2thumbs:

I installed these on my 2011 RT LTD. Does seem to reduce the heat a little at stops. For the price it was a good decision. However, I opted not to remove the brake linkage to perform the install on the right side. Instead I decided to cut back the "one-way" keeper about 1/8" inch. Just enough to get the keeper between the linkage and the foot peg support casting. Even with 1/8" cut off it isn't coming out. With this method it only took about 5 minutes to do each side. :2thumbs:

This is a simple product that is easy to install. It's priced right and it works. You can't go wrong with this one.

Installed mine last week, was hot here, and we got hot feet.

We can still feel warm air coming up, but our feet are not hot anymore.

Ordered the cat shields and the lablock and recieved shipment confirmation notice quickly, what a refreshing concept that others should try... Nothing aggravates me more than to order a product and get payment confirmation, then nothing until product shows up unanounced. Installed the two Spyderpops products and they perform as advertised. You can bet i will do business with Spyderpops Again with pleasure, AAA company.

Now for the magic question. When will you have one for the RS?
