I ordered one for Devl....maybe help with her hand problem....
I think Firefly has that throttle lock. I think it's the same concept as the Throttle Meister that my wife has. Something else that might help Devl and is really inexpensive is a CrampBuster. (http://www.crampbuster.com/why_crampbuster.php) I've had the CB4 size / style on my Spyder from the second month of my Spyder ownership and I love it, even for everyday riding.

Actually, Firefly has the Throttle Meisters. However, I do have this throttle assist and it works just fine. I don't use it very much unless I'm on the freeway, but I do use my Crampbuster all the time, no matter where I'm riding.

I was going to mention you but my memory was more certain that I had seen the mentioned throttle lock on Firefly's Spyder. Guess that shows how good my memory is... :opps:
Devl is using the throttle rocker...aka...crampbuster...but she need to be able to release her hand sometimes from the throttle just to flex her fingers (like on an x-way)...I have a throttle lock on my bike (vista cruise) and it works okay but I saw this one on ESI Cycle Products
http://www.esicycleproducts.com/
website and since they are a Sypderlovers sponsor I thought I would give it a try...the design and how they work is unique a bit pricey but may be worth the money.
Thanks for all the quick responses...

I also have the Vista Cruise on my Spyder (modified a sportbike one to work with the Spyder per ataDude's instructions (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=44887&postcount=51)) and it was very inexpensive as compared to other throttle locks. I used to have the Throttle Meister which is very similar in operation to the one that you mention from ESI but found I wasn't using it much and decided to recoup some of my cost and go with the Vista Cruise I found at my Spyder dealer on sale for about $12.

A co-worker has this on his two-wheeler. Won't work on a spyder as it requires a hand brake level to hold it in place. My co-worker does love it though.

I have the one that brp offers. It works well and does let you get your hand free for a bit. Not good in hills. Use mine on open flat road.:ohyea:
