Don't buy this thing. They are very unstable and shake violently above 40 MPH. I've been reading about them on a couple of scooter forums. I think the 2011 models have addressed the shaking issue, but I haven't read any unbiased reviews on the scooter forums about the new models yet either.

I can't get the pic to open up--but I am guessing it is the same one that has been shown over the last year or so. Members said it was a poor imitation--and probably not very safe.

Wow - 8HP - wooo hooo!!!

Really, what is the point of this thing? The Spyder offers some advantages over 2 wheels if you're going to ride moderately hard (or more) sometimes, but if you're just going to put back and forth to work, why not just get a regular scooter?

Worse yet are these abominations:

Designed to look like a Spyder, but with a 250cc motor: not enough power to impress, but enough to get you hurt good with no ABS, traction control, or stability control (/nanny). Some people will confuse them with a Spyder and they'll hurt the Spyder name.
