The ZZ Top 'La Grange' track was pretty right-on. I have it on my i-Pod jacked into my RT's music system. It works, as does other classic hard rock with a driving beat. Another of my favorite picks Judas Priest's "You've Got Another Thing Coming", but for a different and very cool twist when I'm out there 'Silver Surfin' ... is Rob Zombie's "Never Gonna Stop." It has a drive to it, but then has this aire of 'sailing along'.

Now, I'm only pegging these tracks to images of Spyders movin' along as they do on the Spyder site and on the commercial ...ya know, to cause folks' hearts to pump. But when out ryding, the iPod shuffles hundreds of tracks of many genres. Last weekend, I was at the right place surfin' the back roads and Shania Twain came on with "I'm Outta Here." The RT's so quiet, stable and the music system works so great .... sometimes I'm not sure if I'm ryding the Spyder or the music.

Ryde Safe ...

No brainer...Thunderstruck - AC/DC

Every time this comes on my MP3 player my foot starts tapping the peg and my wrist naturally rolls on the throttle. Does it not for everyone? :ohyea:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RukUetw0hAM&feature=player_detailpage

Lyrics

I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track (Thunder)
I looked 'round,
And I knew there was no turning back (Thunder)
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do? (Thunder)
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you (Thunder)
Sound of the drums
Beatin' in my heart
The thunder of guns!
Tore me apart
You've been - thunderstruck!
Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the ton
Went through to Texas, yeah Texas
And we had some fun
We met some girls,
Some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules, played all the fools
Yeah, yeah, they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shakin' at the knees
Could I come again please.
Yeah the ladies were too kind
You've been - thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck
Oh, thunderstruck, yeah
Yeah
Now we're shaking at the knees
Could I come again please.
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
Said yeah, it's alright
We're! Doing fine
Yeah, it's alright
We're! Doing fine
So fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Whoa baby, baby, thunderstruck
You've been thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck
You've been thunderstruck

The video had her going all over with her Spyder and I thought "that would make a pretty good commercial"! So let's throw that one in too as a nice non-Rock entry!

"or they could do a more mystic, serious spot and use "Hotel California". That would ve cool...

Lot of great songs here, although I think customers already associate most of them with something. La Grange by ZZ Top was a pretty good choice, although for some reason it reminds me of a Viagra commercial.

If I were a marketer I'd choose a song that's a little less common that speaks to the uniqueness of the Spyder. A couple of ideas...

Choice B: "You ain't seen nothin' yet". Particularly a clip from later in the song (2:45 onward in the link): "you ain't seen nothing yet... here's something you'll never forget... you ain't been around... you need educated... etc" (or something like that).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJmBPCYt5LY

Choice A: "A girl like you". Video shows a man spotting a Spyder in a parking lot, getting wide-eyed, going up for a closer look and walking around it, maybe even daring to touch it, and finishes with him riding one while the music plays "and now you've come along...yes, you've come along...and I've never met a girl like you before..."

:agree: Those are better versions. Marty robins is just the one I heard my dad play when I was growing up.

I hope you two didn't think I was putting down your choices.

I get a little over enthusiastic when it comes to music. I saw ghost riders and I just had to post my favorite versions. It's music man, it's all good. And talking of ghost riders, Johnny Cash sings it pretty well also.

Not to hijack this thread anymore than we already have but I have to ask. I assume fleegeds that you made it through Saturdays storms okay. I have a lot of relatives in NC and was concerned for them but everybody made it through OK.

Couple more... Keep in mind I like a lot of music from all walks of life. But Queensryche is my favorite with Metallica being a close second.

But for adrenalin moments ripping through corners... My favorite is Metallica's - Master of Puppets...

And this one is fun... 30 seconds would be interesting to pull from it... Metallica's - Battery
