Hi all,

I have what look like faint water marks on my tupper ware. They dont want to wash off or come off with Pledge or auto wax. Can I use fine rubbing compound on the tupper ware without hurting the finish. Also, some on my windshield. I've sed a lot of elbow grease on it. Could possibly be some sort of sap or pitch but is not sticky, doesn't smear and I can't feel it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I also have a few small scratches want to remove. Want to look sharp for SpyderFest!!!

Ride in Comfort,

Sounds mineral to me. Try to find something acidic for removing and breaking down mineral. You can try to use some baking soda in a thin paste to see if that will help too.

Rubbing compound on plastic... I don't think I'd try it.

ETA: Also use a SOFT cloth with the baking soda.

I've had hard water dry on windshields etc. and leave little rings of iron on the surface after the water evaporated. I got rid of mine by going to a car wash and soaking it with their soft water and wash mitt.
