The odometer on my 2009 GS/RS consistently reads about 3.7 percent higher than my GPS. The GPS matches the mile markers on the highway. Others have reported similar results.

The odometer on my 2011 RT seems to be less than .3 percent higher than the same GPS. This may change a little as the rear tire wears.

It appears to me that BRP has been reading this forum and has made the appropriate correction.

I am wondering if other RT owners have noticed the same results.

On my trip to sturgis last year my miles were around 3 or 4 % higher than what my HD buddies showed. This makes sense as the speed is off by around the same.

My 2011 RT is about .3 also. Pretty good actually, certainly close enough for gov't. work. My Wing, when a two wheeler, was off 4% on purpose by Honda. Most scoots have "fast" speedometers and odometers on purpose.

After I triked my Wing, with the new gearing, it was very close....less than 1 %.... I always use my GPS mileage setting when checking gas mpg, etc.

I have noticed my truck is dead on for about 4000 miles when the tires have about 20,000 miles on them. I always just assumed they calibrate the speedo/odo for mid tire wear points.
Since the diameter of the tire can vary by as much as 2" from new to bald.:dontknow:
