Well this weekend we took our first major road trip (650 miles) We live near Sacramento, CA and decided to visit some friends in southern Oregon (Central Point ). We checked the weather forecast and figured we could make it without hitting any rain. We left Thursday AM and came home on Sunday. The weather was great! It was a little cool around Mt Shasta, but we took our ski pants and were comfortable. Our 2010 RS was fully loaded and I was very happy with the gas mileage, from 29.1 to 33.9 mpg.
Here is a couple of pictures.

We are looking forward to riding with some of the Spyderiders here in Northern California. We are planning on the trip to the Redwoods this August. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26091 (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26091)

I believe from the pictures you were on an RS not an RTS, anyhow looks like a fun trip and you scooted around the rain  I am hoping to make the August Spyders in the Redwoods too!

Really doesn't matter what you were riding, its all about the vista and it's the feel you get in your heart when you see what mother nature has to offer !!!!!!!! During some hard times I learned not to care to much about what men do to each other, somethings you can't prevent, but our planet and mother nature are awesome and will survive !!!

Your pics were GREAT

Shasta was the fullest I have ever seen it. Also the Sacramento river below Shasta dam was very high.

I might be your neighbor! I'm living in elk Grove and plan on taking my 2008 Spyder RS to Texas (Home) and back next month. I was itching for my second long ride. the first one was the 2009 Owners Gala in Universal City, where BRP treated us absolutely great! Not one single problem. I just hope it's not that hot mid-June and later. I've heard bad things about riding through Arizona and New Mexico. but come hell or high water, I'm going. had you guys considered riding up near Weaverville, taking 299 to 101 North to the Redwoods? I'll bet you've already done it!

No, we are not going through Weaverville. From Sacramento we are going through Woodland. Then take Hwy 16 up to Hwy 20 then to Hwy 101. I like to take the back roads as much as possible.
