Since Im handicapped, I have been having trouble setting the ebrake with my foot.....My buddy Carlos took a 7/16 " piece of all thread and put a bend in it so it would be in just the right spot and clear the body work and my leg. I bought a shifter knob from the local pepboys and attached it with the set screw. We tapped the outer hole where the brake pedal cover goes so that the all thread would fit. To clean it up we took a piece of heat shrink and put it over the all thread and shrank it....I tried it out by parking on a steep incline and setting the brake with my hand.. PERFECT! It was always a problem before cause i couldnt set it hard enough so that it would not roll...and no its not because the brake needs to be adjusted, its because i dont have the strength to set it with my foot...Im real happy with the performance and the look..Thanks Carlos!

Now that is cool!

Hey I am not sure if it happens on your Spyder or not. But on our 2011 RSS if we do not set the brake in a straight down fashion it will not set, and it comes back up with my foot. I wonder if you have this issue, and if you do, if setting the mount into the inner hole would help?

so far it sets perfectly being in the outer hole, but if it becomes an issue I will try it in the other hole...thanks!

I did a similar thing and it works great. I covered the allthread with vinyl tubing and painted it all black. My heel does rub the paint off the tubing so it'll soon be time to touch it all up again.

You know what they say 'Great minds think alike!' :2thumbs:
