Love the color choice! Let's see, first mod..... a comfortable seat. If you're ryding 2-up, make that seat a double, with arm rests.

You're good to go . . . now all you need is a low interest gas credit card!!! :roflblack:

Improve the handling. Get some aftermarket shocks such as Elka's. Bling like lights and such can be added after you get the bike safer.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new ride. My vote for a first mod is a seat. Lots of information and opinions in the threads. The extra brake light is also a good idea.

:welcome::congrats: and way to start with a loaded question. Be ready for a boat load of answers. I don't have an RT so I can't speak entirely to your question, but I would think HID lights.

:welcome: The Raw Magnesium RT is a real classy looking ride!

LIke others, I vote for the ESI Mudflap Lights and High Brake Light. I also would make a RAM mount for my GPS, Powerlet outlets, and a fuse block to power my comm system and heated gear, top priorities. We each have our own needs and wants. The RT is pretty well equipped without any doodads.

Since you have a 2011 model you don't need shocks, as someone said. Just adjust them up to your favorite stiffness and put 19 or 20 pounds in the front tires.

Teddy & I say
:congrats: & :welcome:

We would suggest the entire lighting systems from the site Sponsors
Like Suggested Above. But its best to do them in combinations, plus "SAFETY SHOULD ALWAYS BE FIRST" IMHO:thumbup:

And the RT series LACKS almost totally in night time side visibility "IMHO"

Teddy Got me to put Blue GloRyders On His :ani29: & We Love them & They Show Up our Wheels Like Nothing Else :firstplace:

We'd also suggest

I also agree with a lot of the posts about getting better night time lighting. Making sure others can see you from all angles is a must. I installed all the lights made by ESI for my RT-S and I'm thrilled by the quality and ease of installation. Out of all of them the HMT brake light is my favorite. After you install it you will be convinced it was installed at the factory, it fits perfect.

:congrats: and:welcome: our 1st mod was the high brake light from ESI. Everyone knows your brakes are on it's bright and looks like it came with the spyder.

:agree: You're not that far from Cuba. Pop up for a day or two and see all the different mods available. Talk to the Spyder owners and see their mods. We're a friendly family. Then make your choice.

Personally, I vote for the sway bar...

:welcome: and :congrats: on the new:spyder:. You made a great color choice, I like the way it can look different shades in different lighting conditions. You should try to make Spyderfest and then check out the Vendor Village to see lots of possibilities for mods before making you pick. :2thumbs:
