I finally got my ground effect lights done. It has about 20 feet of lights and has a 44 button remote to run it. I can have it fade between the colors of flash between them or just pick one color to have on steady. I can even make my own color by changing the hue of any color. Lots of fun. The video does no justice.

I'm am so happy with it. This was my first "real" mod.

I bought it on ebay. Do a search for "RGB LED". They come in strips of 5 meters with 150 leds. The can be cut every three leds to customize it any way you want. Very easy to do just takes a little time to get it just right.

I bought 10 meter strip with the remote for $100 shipped from hong kong. I received it within one week. Here is a link to the seller with a 5 meter strip with the 44 button remote.

Just look around you can find a good price. Just make sure you get the waterproof version.

Thanks for the compliments and the :2thumbs:. I will be in americade in June. I cant wait to show it off.:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

That look really nice.. Question--- How are you powering them? I read the discription on the ebay link and it said that each series of colored lights is 2 Amps,, meaning to me that if you get two colors it would be a total of 4 Amps,, I could be mis-understanding it though cause wiring is NOT my strong subject.. Anyway, just kind of wanting to know if you hooked them into the SWITCHED or UNSWITCHED wires harness or did you go straight to the battery?? Thank in advance.. Interested for sure but the whole AMP thing is making me hold back a bit..

I used the unswitched wire harness. I wanted to be able to have the lights on when the :spyder2: wasnt running or the key on. Not to sure about how many amps it pulls (never checked it to be honest). I have a 3 amp fuse in the fuse box its been good so far. Of course I didnt use all 32 feet that I bought. I think I used about 20 feet or so. Trying to save some for the wife's vulcan 500 ltd.

Very nice...I did something very similar to that with my RT. I have a 4 button remote and get mixed up at times...How do you manage with a 44 button remote?

The power consumption is very low. I like to have my RT glow red while it is connected to the Battery Tender and it charges up and maintains the charge without a problem.

Its not bad once you figure out how to use it. Just like the six remotes it takes to watch tv.

Most of the buttons are used for steady on colors and there is 6 buttons you can program to make your own color. They have it labeled well.
