I test/demo'd a 2009 rs sm and I'm now hooked. I am by no means a two wheeled cycle guy, never have been. My wife rides and I alway wanted to go ride too but never trusted the traditonal trikes.

The gears started in my head last year. I was at a local Ruby Tuesdays for my birthday dinner this past October with my family when I see the yellow "3 wheeler" pull up outside. Needless to say I was interested as soon as I saw it. My brother and myself went out to talk to the female rider to ask about the bike. After talking to her, I could get the idea out of my head. "I could ride one of those" I thought to myself.

I thought it about it all winter and now have one in my sights, just wonder what everyone thinks about the price. It's a 2010 RS SE5 zero miles. They have the price down to $16,500 now. Does that sound fair or about the normal $$$ for a new 2010?

Thank you all in advance.

Hello BMF,
Not sure where you are located but there are 2 on ebay right now with zero miles for almost 2 grand less. Again, may depend on where you are located. Good luck with your purchase. They sure are fun.

Starting prices on ebay are not the same as the final sales prices...or even the reserve prices. Don't be mislead by the bait!

Those are "buy it now" prices. 2010 is now a year old so I would definitely try to get a better deal.

Thanks Dick. As you can see, I didn't bother to look at the links. :agree: You can almost always do better than a Buy-It-Now price on eBay (but not always). It pays to do a little research, and shop around before you leap.

$16500 for a 2010 RS is actually a pretty decent deal for an SE5. I would not be surprised to see one sell for more than $1000 less than that right now as the season is getting started. But I would do as others are suggesting and look around. Just do not take to long, or that deal will go to someone else. :gaah::yikes:

The RSS is a special addition and always gets more $$ than the stock RS...

Might try and deal in the BEST warranty or some add ons for leverage... :chat::thumbup::spyder2:

Shipping could be as much as $800 - be sure to get a couple of firm bids before you bid. I had mine shipped, with no problems, other than cigarette ashes all over it... Was a good expire ce for me.

Some dealers drop the price by eliminating the extra warranty or other incentives offered by BRP. Don't be fooled that your getting a good deal, check out what is included and ask other dealers what is included with the sales price. I'm all for saving $ but you usually get what you pay for.

Yep, full 2yr BRP warr. With option to extend three more years. Thanks for the heads up.
