It's winter in KANSAS
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love KANSAS
When the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
You may think I'm a fool.
I could never leave KANSAS
Cause I'm frozen to the stool.:yikes::shemademe_smilie:

Lived in Manhattan, KS 23 yrs., I know what you mean. The wind can be bad, nether tree slows the wind down much. It was not much better here today. It was -19 (-30 wind chill) :yikes: when I left for work today.

And yet we still get days that are greater than 50 degrees here in Kansas on February 13th and warm enough to ryde the Spyder on dry roads with snowbanks waist deep along side of the road. My wife and I had a terrific February ryde today and were comfortable. It was great to see some sunshine and other motorcycles out during February in Kansas.

Can't wait for spring.

I was stationed at Fort Riley while I was in the service. Nice place to visit but I would not want to live there.

Did you realize that Kansas has been clinically porven to be flatter than a pancake?? (your tax dollars at work).

I was raised in Sunflower - anyone know where that is today??
