I have had my 2010 RTS for almost a year. I want to replace the foot pags with floorboards but I'm not sure if they will help. I don't really care to ride with my legs bent. I want to sit with my legs a little closer to 90 degrees. Will floorboards for the RTS work and any ones in particular that are prefered? I'm only 5'11" so I'm hoping to be a little more confortable riding. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi SpyderLuv,

I would invite you to check out my Seal FloorBoards.com website. I've got lots of pictures of me at 5'8" tall to one customer who is 6'6" tall. My FloorBoards are over 30" long and give you lots of room to move your feet around and give your knees a break. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Which RTS do you have? The SE5 or SM5?

Ride in comfort,

John

To be brutally honest... Take a moment to do a search. You will find many threads on this subject... And frankly... Some great ideas. Here is one I started but on our new RS...

http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25240

The reason I mention it, is because there are a few tips on how to "Test" what your legs will like for a position an a lot of those threads. Then that allows you to look at all of our supporting vendors and narrow down your search.

I am trying to be helpful and not aim you to one type or another, but more of a.... Think how you want your legs to be. And when you need it, how fast can you get to the foot brake?

Unfortunately I seem to choose the wrong ones the first time and end up getting a second set. That hurts the pocket book :gaah:

Personally I do not like the Seal Floorboard because of how my legs end up. Their type stays on top of the factory foot-peg position. I needed them to sit down more for my comfort.

That said... I would offer you to take a serious look at the ISCI (http://www.industrialspecialty.com/ISCISpyderParts2010.htm)versions. They are of top quality and craftsmanship :2thumbs::spyder2::doorag:
