My RT just spent 22 days held hostage by Sunsports Motorcycle Dealership in Fort Myers, Fl, but yesterday I finally rescued it with serious help from a group of commandos from BRP (thanks folks).. At any rate the 200 mile ride back home last night really drove home how much I miss riding my Spyder. Only Moonchaser could possibly know how I felt during this struggle..

This coming Saturday morning (Dec 4th) I am going to ride in the 7th Annual Lake County United Motorcyclists Association Toy Run (sign up 9 to 10:30am at Walmart In leesburg). The law enforsement accompanied ride will end up in Okahumpka for food , biker games, vendors, etc.. Admission is $10.00 plus one unwrapped toy (details in most lake county papers). ANYONE INTERESTED IN JOINING ME FOR THE RIDE... Ride Safe..

After the fun we had in the one in Chiefland, we wouldn't miss these. We will be there. So far, weather looks good.
If you have never ridden in one of these with an escort, you are missing some fun; and all for a great cause.

Only WalMart in main part of Leesburg is about a mile or so north of the split at 441 and 27 just north of where we all met at Dennys this past summer.
( North of the infamous MARATHON station on the left heading north!!)

What was wrong with the bike that it took 22 days to repair? The last I heard, you could only go 5 mph.

The clutch plate needed replacing... The actual work took only two hours.. It just took Sunsports 22 days to work it into their busy schedule - oh yes my ipod nano is also missing when the bike was returned.

The weatherman was wrong this morning and the day started 10 degrees higher than he said and then got much better. It was a perfect morning for the Toy Run and over 250 bikes showed up in Leesburg.. Scooter from Lady Lake, and Retread from Leesburg joined me to represent spyders on the ride.. Everyone seemed to have a great time and lots of toys were brought for the kids....:2thumbs:
