To all of our fellow Spyder Lovers.
I personally do not visit here everyday but I can tell you just about everything that goes on because of ameobe keeping me informed on all that is going on.
I need a favor from all of you that will only take a minute of your time but will mean the world to us. We have a very dear friend that means the world to the two of us and just yesterday they had to life fight her grand daughter to a hospital a few hours from here to be put on a list for a liver transplant. Montana is only 18 years old and has been battling jaundice all summer long, from what we have been told it was caused by a medication that she was put on to help her with headaches. So I am asking that if you can find it in your hearts tonight to please send a pray out for her and her family. I have heard what amazing thing have happened on this page when Spyder Lovers unit and send out prayers so I am hoping that once again we can pull off another miracle.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. and I promise to keep you up to date on her condition.
With much love and Thanks to you all
Twinkles and Ameode

I just wanted to stop by and tell you all the news on Montana... at 8am this morning her grandmother called me to let me know that they had just been told that they found a donor for Montana... I want to thank you all for your prayers ( I knew if any group could help with the prayers being sent it would be this group) her surgery is to start at around 12 today and it can take any where from 4 to 18 hours from what we have heard. So I ask you once again to please keep her in your prayers today.

Thank you all very much for the love that you all share with everyone...
Will keep you posted with any news that we hear
Thank you again with much love and Thanks

Finding a donor is great news for Montana and her family, while it is sad news for another family. The unknown donor family will be added to my prayers as well. They gave a gift that can never be duplicated.

We will offer prayers for Montana and keep her and family and friends in our thoughts. I love her name - it reminds me of the John Denver song. May she be strong and the doctors successful in this challenge.

just stopping by to fill you in on Montana and her progress... the day after her first liver transplant they realized it was to big for her body and was causing her kidneys to stop working from the pressure it was putting on them... so they hooked her up to dialysis and opened her up again and did what they could to take the pressure on her kidney till they could find a second liver for her... so they put her back on the top of the list and in a few hours they had another one for her... so on monday they did a second transplant...
so as of yesterday the doctors have given us nothing but good news on her progress ... she is still not awake completely but does know when the family is in the room they are planning on letting her wake up slowly today and to remove the breathing tube that they had in just to make it easier on her body... she is still on dialysis for her kidney because they have not started to work yet. The doctors are not to worried about that yet they said that it might take a few days for them to adjust .
I will continue to up date all of you on her progress
I once again want to Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for her and for the donors family's . She has a long recovery road ahead of her and your continued prayers for her recovery mean the world to us. Thank you does not even begin to tell you all how much your kindness means to us ...

More prayers from Grahamsville, N.Y. We're so glad to hear that her prognosis is looking good! :2thumbs: (My Missus had a kidney transplant almost 5 years ago, so we know all too about her horrific struggle...)

As a kidney transplant recipient my prayers :pray: are with Montana. She needs to hang in there as life will get back to normal soon. She is in good company!

The photo below is from the 2010 transplant games held in Madison, WI in August. These are transplant patients and live donors and only shows one half of the room. Montana is young, we had some as young as two, and will recover and hopefully I will see her at the next games in 2012! :firstplace:
